Through her own life experience, Cerise has an understanding of multiple addictions and what it takes to recover and make change. Having turned her life around, she developed a desire to pay it forward, and enter into the recovery field. Cerise holds a Counselling Certificate and is in part time studies for an Associates Degree in Psychology. Cerise is CCAC certified through CACCF and has CAP Addiction Certification. As a Recovery Coach, she facilitates group, supports recovery goals, provides crisis intervention and assists aftercare planning. Cerise finds joy in volunteer work; taking pride in speaking for the Elizabeth Fry’s Crime and Consequence Seminar and being of service to 12 step programs. Cerise sees the value in a holistic approach to healing and the Biopsychosocial model to empower clients to see their inner strengths. She is solution focused and uses motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change to facilitate change. Her compassionate and empathetic spirit show how passionate she is about recovery, and her belief that any addict can recover.
