Registered Art Therapist, BA, DVATI, BCATR
Marty’s approach to art therapy is influenced by a lifelong career in the visual arts, blending a passion for creativity with a deep interest in healing and personal growth. His understanding of how to be an effective therapist continues to evolve as each client brings new challenges. As well as working with the Orchard Recovery Center, he sees clients in Vancouver and on Bowen Island, and teaches at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute and the Adlerian School of Professional Psychology. As a general practitioner, Marty provides therapy to a diverse range of populations, working with trauma, addictions, sexual abuse, anxiety and depression. Now in his 20th year seeing clients, he especially enjoys engaging with clients’ dreams, and continues to explore the effect that focus has on their healing.
