Dr. Durnin has been in medical practice since 1992, initially in family medicine with 22 years in the addiction field. She provides services to patients across the spectrum of addiction medicine, from harm reduction to sustained recovery. She has been certified by the American, International and Canadian Societies of Addiction Medicine and is recognized as having additional training in this area within family practice.
In addition to her work at the Orchard Recovery Center, Dr. Dunrin is a clinical instructor with UBC (University of British Columbia), and has an outpatient practice in the Alliance Clinic in Surrey. She provides outreach services via telehealth. She brings her extensive knowledge of addiction medicine to her work with Orchard clients, including her previous work with Eating Disorders, HIV, Corrections, and the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. She has worked in occupational health, including for WorkSafe BC, is a Medical Review Officer and has a private practice in occupational health and recovery from addiction.
