Taking the Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Bowen Island
To reach our facility, clients will take the BC Ferries route from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Bowen Island (Snug Cove Terminal). The ferry crossing takes approximately 20 minutes and offers beautiful views of Vancouver’s North Shore and Howe Sound.
Important: All new arrivals must reach our Bowen Island recovery centre before noon. Clients who arrive later in the day cannot be admitted and will need to wait until the next intake day (Mondays and Wednesdays) to begin treatment. Please plan your travel accordingly to avoid delays.
We recommend walking on the ferry as a foot passenger. Upon arrival at Snug Cove, one of our Orchard team members will meet you and provide transportation directly to the facility.

Flying Into Vancouver and Getting to Bowen Island
For clients traveling from outside the Vancouver area, we recommend flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR), located just south of Vancouver, British Columbia.
From the airport, you can take a taxi, Uber, or shuttle to Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. The drive typically takes 30–45 minutes depending on traffic and brings you directly to the BC Ferries terminal.
At Horseshoe Bay, you will board the 20-minute ferry to Bowen Island (Snug Cove Terminal). We suggest walking on the ferry as a foot passenger. Upon arrival, one of our Orchard team members will meet you at Snug Cove and provide transportation directly to the recovery centre.
