Clinical Program
Clinical Care at Orchard Recovery Center
Our counsellors bring together a wide range of expertise, blending academic training, professional accreditation, and lived experience in recovery. Many hold advanced degrees such as Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Arts in Counselling, alongside recognized credentials including Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification (CCAC) and International Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor (ICADC).
Several members of our team are trained in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This diverse foundation allows us to tailor treatment approaches to each individual’s needs, balancing clinical best practices with the empathy and insight that comes from lived experience.
Group Seminars
In group seminars, a counsellor presents material to help clients better understand addiction and the recovery process. These sessions often include psycho-educational components, along with tools and strategies that can be applied in daily life.
Small Groups
Small groups bring 6–8 clients together with a counsellor for an interactive counselling session. Each person has the chance to participate, share their experiences, and gain support from peers. Group participation is encouraged as an important part of the recovery process.
